It's an egg! Not a fossilized avocado!

A co-worker of mine raises Emus. One of his Emus started to lay eggs this week and he brought egg #2 in to work. I think the eggs are very pretty – almost as if they were painted. They are a combination between hunter green and aqua. If the top layer is scraped off, it is blue underneath.

  1. I had no idea that they were that huge. When I first saw the photo, I thought that you were holding an Easter Egg. Must show this to the little boy next door.

  2. Thanks for stopping by.

I was surprised at how they looked. They are heavy and feel very thick.

I think my friend may even bring some in to eat so I am looking forward to that. And of course if he does I will post about it!
