Whew! What a crazy weekend it has been!
First there was the end of the A to Z challenge. Loved it, but I am so glad that it is over and done with.
Then there is my new little grey kitty. She is so sick. Poor thing is so very tiny. In fact, the Vet doesn't think she will grow much larger than kitten size.
I took her in to the Vet early Monday morning before work and left with all kinds of medications which included the one thing I hate the most, a bag of fluids. I hated giving fluids to my 2 previous cats and that is with me knowing how they would react and knowing how to make it easier on them. With this new kitten, I don't know how it is all going to go.
She has been separated since I first brought her home and our other new kitten (Olive) is getting antsy that she cannot play with her yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't get sick too. I don't think that she will since they have been separated, but you never know. Especially since there has been a lot of sniffing through the crack in the door.
Even sick, she is a cutie. We are still stuck on a name though. Any ideas?

That little face! I'm sorry she's so poorly. I hope you get to the bottom of it soon, and she and Olive can have adventures together (which you can take pictures of, obvs).
ReplyDeleteOn the name front, I was trying to think of things that went with "Olive" but none of them worked ("sundried tomatoes" not being a good name for a kitten). BUT THEN I went on Wikipedia and discovered that the olive tree gives its name to the plant family "which also includes species such as lilacs, jasmine, Forsythia and the true ash trees". Some ideas there, maybe?
Lis / last year's girl x
Hi Lis. Thanks. Today she is eating a bit and hopefully she will continue to do so. Both cats are getting antsy that they are in separate rooms and I have a hard time trying to keep one out and keep the other one in.
DeleteI love the name ideas. I need to look into that idea a bit more. Anything is better than "Name Pending," (from the Vet) or "Little Pooper." You know, 'cause she's little. LOL
That's always sad when kitties come home from adoption sick like that :( I hope she feels better soon! The name, Luna, pops into my head when I look at her.
ReplyDeleteHi Julianne.
DeleteI really like Luna. :-)
She seems to be feeling better. So much so that it is hard to keep her in the room. Unfortunately, she will have to stay separated for another week.
I looked at her for awhile and this is what came to me; Lily, Soot, Tuna and maybe Bean. That's my two cents...
ReplyDeleteThank you -Tommy. I am going to add all of those to the list. :-)
