The challenge is over.
My life can now get back to normal.
I had the best time taking part in the A to Z challenge this year. I am so happy that I changed my mind and decided to give the challenge another try.

X is for Xenon
Xenon. Olive's old shelter name.
The first photo was taken the morning after I adopted her and the other is a quickie snapshot from this morning.
What a difference a couple of months make. Her neck hair is growing in quite nicely don't you think?

W is for Whoohoo
We finally found a friend for Olive. Yay!
The local shelter posted the following video on Monday night and before the doors opened on Tuesday morning, I was there to adopt her.
I picked her up the next day after her spay surgery. So I am back to taking care of a "recuperating" kitty. She is quite active for just having surgery. When I left for work the next morning the poor thing was meowing at the door wanting out of the room that we have her in. It will take some work to keep the two cats separated for now.
She is a super tiny little thing. Looks about the size of a 3.5 month old kitten. She may be older than they originally thought though. Instead of approx 3.5 months she may be closer to 6 months. I am glad that she and Olive are probably a lot closer in age than we first thought.
Now we just need to decide on a name.

V is for Video
I like to take pictures. Lots of pictures. I have taken part in a year long (365 days) daily photo project, four different times now. That is 4 years worth of daily photos!
This year, I wanted to do something different. So, instead of a photo-a-day, I am taking a 1.5 second video-a-day.
I decided that the only way that I was going to be able to keep up and stay on top of this project was to actually use an app that was made to do this very thing. So, I purchased the 1 Second Everyday (1SE) app for my iPhone. The app helps me select a 1.5 second snippet for each day and then stitches them all together into one movie. Easy Peasy. At the end of the year, I will have about a 9 minute long video of my entire year.
I am enjoying this project a lot and so far I have kept up with it. I never really planned to publicly share anything other than the final year end video. But since I have been saving monthly backups of my video snippets, I thought that I would go ahead and share them. Ideally, since this is the April A to Z challenge, April would have been the perfect month to share. But, since the month is not yet over, I'll share my videos for January, February and March.
I don't claim to live an exciting life. In fact, there are probably way too many daily video snippets of my cat. But in the end, when all the video snippets of cats and sunsets and clouds have been stitched together, I wil be able to honestly say that the video is the real Me and what my life was like at those specific points in time. I really like that.

S is for Sweets
I do have a bit of a sweet tooth. But not for everything. I am a tad picky about my sweets. But you sure wouldn't know that by looking at my photos. I take a lot of photos of food. Especially the sweet stuff.
Like cupcakes.
You know what? Don't tell anyone, but I don't like cupcakes. I will take as many photos of them as I can though.

Q is for Quilted
I am surprised that as much as I love quilts, I really have no photos whatsoever of them.
Here are the most "Quilt-like" photos that I have taken over the past few years.
Sadly, most of them seem to be photos of the same old comforter set. The same old comforter set that I still have on my bed today. I really do need to buy new bedding. But with a new kitten in the house, it may be awhile. I am actually kind of happy to have a little destructive kitty that requires me to buy a new Quilt. I just need to find the perfect time to do so.
I have always wanted to learn how to Quilt. But that would require me to give up one of my other hobbies.
Do you Quilt?

O is for Olive
Remember when I warned you that there would be cat photos?
The letter "O" is most definitely for my kitty cat, Olive. Because she is a cat and cats must go on the Internet.
