I always wonder what it would be like to live in a place where tons of plants and flowers grow.
I am not saying that the desert doesn't have its share of beautiful flowers. But some places are just so green and colorful.
You know, the grass is always greener... yadda yadda. Although, in this case it quite literally is.
What kind of flowers grow where you live?

Beautiful colorful flowers...
ReplyDeleteThank you Weekend-Windup.
DeleteMy mom would plant daffodils. She took great pride in them along with tulips.
ReplyDeleteI’m exploring different types of dreams and their meanings.
Stephen Tremp’s Breakthrough Blogs
Hi Stephen Tremp. I bet they looked beautiful! I would love to grow both types of flowers. Tulips are my favorite!
DeleteI must admit, I'm not sure I've seen any flowers here yet in Phoenix. When we lived in Prescott, I know that the neighbors next door had tulips :)
ReplyDeleteand to answer your question, I was at the Sonoran Desert Museum once about 15 years ago; its on our list to get down to that part of the state soon :)

Betty, We may not have that many "regular" type of flowers but we do have some awesome looking cactus flowers. :-)
DeleteWe haven't planted many flowers yet. But DD is going to put in a flower bed this year. I have columbine, irises, day lilies, and daffodils planted. and we have some wild flowers in areas where we don't mow in summer. Of course, right now there is snow on the ground, but the lilies and daffodils had been sprouting shoots before this snow.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a beautiful assortment of flowers, LisaDv.
DeleteI'm so glad I found you (or was it the other way around?)! Anyway, gorgeous pics as usual. Flowers that grow around here: California poppies, roses, sunflowers, and many more.
ReplyDeleteThank you. That is very sweet of you to say, Julianne.
DeleteI live in a city. What are flowers? But I do happen to love Daffodils and Dandelions.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this little flower break. I found you on the challenge and bookmarked you. In case you may be interested, I’m part of the challenge over at http://www.StumbleStandFly.blogspot.com. I also have a picturebook blog for kid’s and inner kids at Ollie-Bug.com. Which based on your humor, you may like.
See you tomorrow,
Tom
Thank you, Tom. :-)
DeleteI'm lucky to live near huge parks, forests and some beautifully maintained gardens so I see lots of green and flowers of all kinds.
ReplyDeleteI would say that that you are very lucky, Michelle G. That sounds wonderful!
DeleteI never know the names of flowers 🙈 I live in the canary Islands with "forever spring" so there are a lot of flowers around all the time

Miss Andi, you had me at Island and "forever spring." I can't imagine how pretty it must be. :-)
DeleteGorgeous pictures! There are many flowers in the place I live. Well, not exactly in the city but I have some on the balcony. You can come over to my bog if you have time. There are some flowers.
