Here's proof that the husband and I watch way too many zombie movies.
I kind of just shoved the ironing board into the closet, so I posted a "Watch Out!" note on the door. The next morning I woke up and found this.

Z is for Zombies
Y is for Yellow
Since January, when I first started crocheting my mini granny squares blanket, I have been on the hunt for the perfect mustard yellow. A yellow that is not too yellow and not too bright. A yellow that is kind of vintagey and dull.
Do you know how hard it is to find a DK weight acrylic/acrylic wool blend yarn in a mustard yellow? Every time I found a yarn that would work, it ended up being discontinued.
I thought I had lucked out when the same brand of yarn that I am using for this project came out with a "gold" color. I ordered it and waited patiently for it to arrive from England. When I got my first look at the yarn, I knew deep down that it wouldn't work. I crocheted up a square and attached it to the others and I just didn't like it. It was not yellow enough.
The hunt continues...
This is NOT the mustard yellow I am looking for. |
I am looking for something more like this. |
X is for X-treme
X-treme close-up that is.
U is for Up
U is for Up... as in Look Up.

T is for Twitterversary
Twitter hates me.
Today is my five-year Twitterversary. Trying not to take it personally that Twitter didn't send me a Happy Twitterversary letter.
S is for Superhero
Around here it's all about the Superheroes.

Q is for Quit
It's sad that I get so close to the end of the A to Z challenge only to be stuck on the letter Q.
It kind of makes me want to Quit.
There have been many things keeping me away from the computer this month. Most days I haven't even felt like turning on the computer. I caught some kind of chest cold about 25 days ago and the cough is still lingering.
But I can't Quit when I am THIS close to finishing.
Just like I can't Quit binge watching episodes of Brothers & Sisters on Netflix.
You know what I would love to Quit? This cough. Seriously, it really needs to go away!

P is for Precious
Precious moments in time |
This is my favorite picture. It shows my Uncle & Me playing the piano while my mom (and baby brother) watch. I was 2 years old. I credit him for my love of music. Shortly after this (when I was around 5) I started piano lessons that lasted until I was 18. Which then led to me learning how to play other instruments.

O is for Oreo
I am not really a cookie person. But that being said, I get extremely curious about the different flavors of Oreo cookies that I find. Have you seen some of the flavors they have come up with?
Here are a few that I have come across.
Watermelon Oreos? I definitely did NOT try these. I LOVE watermelon. But Watermelon Oreos? No thank you.
There are Candy Corn Oreos? I am not a big fan of Candy Corn so I really wasn't up for trying these.
Candy Cane Oreos. Let me just say, I am a sucker for ALL things peppermint. I thought these were yummy.
And finally, Lemon Oreos. These used to be a limited edition but I think they have now been added to the list of regular Oreo cookie flavors. Which is pretty awesome because they are my all time favorite. I really do love these cookies.
What Oreo cookie flavors have you tried?
