Currently February

I bought a FitBit 🏃

Walking... a lot! I bought a FitBit and have been trying to get more steps in my day. I still have not reached 10,000 daily steps yet. It is a bit hard for me to do when I have to sit at a desk all day. But some days I get close and one day I will reach it. I just hope that when I do, it doesn't kill me. Because walking around Costco for 4 straight hours did not even get me close to 10,000 steps and it wiped me out for the rest of the day.

Wondering... if the bathroom remodel will ever be finished. We are currently going on 19 months.

Dreading... the heat that is still to come. 90 degrees is just way too hot to be happening in February.

Trying... to come up with a name for this new little fuzz ball. Yep. I did it. I got myself a new little one. I just brought her home last night, so it is all still so very new. This is her shelter photo. Her current condition is a lot less fuzzy, as she was given a bad lion-cut shave at the shelter. Which I think is probably why it took so long for her to get adopted.

Filling... up my iPhone with video. I am working on a 1 Second Everyday video project for the year. I have to say, I love it! But, just like a regular daily photo project, it is sometimes difficult to come up with stuff to shoot. But, in a way it is easier because the video doesn't have to be perfect. It's a moment in my life to help me remember what that particular day was about. Here's my January, if you would like to take a look.

  1. NEW CAT NEW CAT NEW CAT.

This makes me so happy. I hope she's settling into the hole in your heart left by her big sisters.

  2. Thanks Lis. She is a little charmer. It has been 16-years since I have had a kitten, so it's been fun. Now if we could only decide on a name...

  3. Aw, the new kitty is so cute! I am sure you will find the perfect name for her soon!
I have the same struggle with my fitbit - I sit at a desk for at least 7 hours a day and so it's really hard for me to reach those 10000 everyday.

  4. Hi Stefani
Thank you for visiting my blog, sorry I am so late getting back to you, I didn't see your comment until today.
The Derwent Inktense are brilliant pencils to use, a little goes a long way. They are similar to watercolour pencils but you don't need to add as much detail and they are a lot brighter.
I am trying to walk more too. We don't have that problem with the heat though, lol.
Aww, your kitten is beautiful, looking foward to hearing what name you decide on for her.
The video project sounds great. That should be so interesting to look at when it is completed!

  6. Thank you and Thanks for the information on the pencils, Lynne. I will have to keep my eyes open for them the next time I go to the craft store.
